Pu Erh
Pu Erh. This famous fermented tea has many layers of flavour. Pu Erh comes from the famous tea growing province of Yunnan (the town is called Pu Erh) and is produced raw or ripe. Raw Pu Erh becomes more valuable as it ages and is often compressed into tea cakes or bricks. It is given as wedding gifts or passed down from one generation to the next as an investment. Ripe Pu Erh is produced using an accelerated fermentation process. This tea has a very earthy note and a unique aroma.
