Earl Grey was rumoured to be the drink of choice for the British Prime Minister in the 1830’s, Charles Grey who was the second Earl Grey.
During this period, tea was transported on Clipper Ships which were incredibly fast ships in their day, however, the tea would still have taken over 3 months to get from its source to the UK.
