Description
Ceylon Sarnia OP. This black Ceylon tea produces a dark copper coloured cup with a spicy and slightly sweet bouquet.
From the Sarnia Tea Garden it is a loose leaf orange pekoe tea.
Orange Pekoe is one of the sought after tea picks and is the second leaf down from the top of the plant.
The first tea estate was formed in 1867 by a Scottish man, Mr James Taylor.
The Loolecondera Estate was 19 acres in size and was so successful that tea is now a major part of Sri Lanka’s industry.
Ceylon teas are known for their excellent orange pekoe tea.
