Today marks the Chinese New Year or “ Gong Hey Fat Choy “ . A new year in the Chinese lunar calendar, it is a time of much celebration and tradition that lasts for 15 days. The celebrations include fireworks, dragons, paying respects to ancestors, exchanging lucky red envelopes with money inside and enjoying tea with relatives as a way to bond and ensure a good relationship for the forthcoming year. Usually fruits are added to the tea for good luck.
We would like to join people world wide in ushering in the Year of the Dog and wishing everybody good luck, longevity, health and wealth!
